All Region
All State Region Process
Each season, over 684 athletes from Divisions 1, 2, 3, and 4 are recognized for their outstanding performance on the court through All Region honors.
Varsity coaches nominate their potential All Region athletes by completing the nomination form and submitting it to their Region Representative prior to the Region meeting.
Region Representatives then hold an All Region meeting, with all MIVCA varsity coaches from that division invited to participate. Together, they evaluate the nominated athletes and select their All Region Team.
Each of the 19 Regions may select between 36–40 athletes, with the exact number determined by:
- The number of volleyball-sponsoring schools in the region, and
- The number of state-ranked teams within that region.
Once a player has been selected to the All Region team by the varsity coaches, they become eligible for All State consideration.
Every All Region recipient receives a certificate of recognition at the conclusion of the season.
