Each season, over 600 players from Divisions 1, 2, 3 and 4 are recognized for their athletic performance on the court. Varsity coaches nominate their potential Region player by filling out a form and submitting it to the Region Representative prior to the Region meeting. The Region Representatives hold a region meeting with MIVCA Varsity coaches from each class invited to participate and determine their region choices. A maximum of 32 players are selected from each of the 19 Regions. Once a player has been selected to the Region by the varsity coaches, Regions nominate players to move on to the State level.  Each player receives a certificate of recognition at the end of the season with several players from each region going on for All State consideration.
